As promised, I did a quick video of the Check Holder/Stocking Die I made for my friend, Cheryl. I aplogize in advance – it was done without the benefit of adequate lighting but you can get the idea. Enjoy!

Did ya miss me???? I caught something on the plane that totally kicked my can for two weeks! Sheesh! Crazy!
Anyway…I thought you might enjoy another use for the stocking die. I used it to create a place setting for my Book Club Dinner.

A simple way to dress up your table!

I used two stockings – back-to-back – run through the Big Shot with an Embossing Folder. The accented pieces are Silver Shimmer Paper. I only adhered the bottom and sides so the top was open. I put a candy cane in but told the attendees they could reuse the stocking for a gift card.
Enjoy!

My Grandmother just turned 96! We're so lucky to still have her with us! I went to lunch with her today and wanted to make her a card so I could put gift certificates to her favorite places.
Here's the "card" I made. The directions follow. Enjoy!
The Cherry Cobbler base is 3 3/4 x 12 scored at 3 3/4, 4 1/4, 8 1/4, and 8 1/2
The front is More Mustard 3 3/8 x 3 3/8 with a piece of whisper white card stock 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 layered on top of it.
The small scalloped piece is 1 1/4 x 3 1/4 cut with the Scallop edge border punch..
The white card stock is decorated using French Foliage Stamp Set and More Mustard Classic Ink, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, and Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Polka Dot cut at 22".
The button is from the Rich Regals Collection with a piece of Chantilly ribbon tied through it and adhered with mini glue dots.
The Greeting is stamped using Birthday Wishes in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White card stock 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 layered onto a piece of More Mustard 2 1/2 x 3 – Both are punched using the Scallop Edge Border Punch. **My trick for layering the so that the scallops match up correctly is to cut the white piece larger and then scallop it and cut it to size using the piece that matches up with the other scallops.** (Hope that makes sense!)

Use the Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope die, cut 3 Whisper White Envelopes. (If you start with a piece of 5 1/4 x 4 1/2 cardstock, you'll have the perfect size to cut the envelopes.) Each envelope is adhered to a piece of More Mustard 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and those pieces are attached to the accordion folded piece of Cherry Cobber. (Detailed below)
The Cherry Cobbler accordion folded piece on the bottom is 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, scored every half inch beginning at 1/2". Accordion fold it and apply sticky strip as directed below. Then…flip the cardstock over and put sticky strip on the one flap as detailed below.
This piece is flipped over and attached to the inside of the front flap of the card. (It should look like the first picture of the accordion folded piece above when you adhere it.)
To assemble the card, adhere the BACK of the card stock with the finished envelopes to the FRONT of the accordion folds. Before you adhere the back piece of the accordion folded strip, place a strip of sticky strip on the BOTTOM flap so that the accordion piece will stick DOWN. See side view below.
If you have any questions, drop me an email!
I hope you liked it! 🙂

In my family, when you get married, you are assigned a holiday. My holiday has always been Thanksgiving – which happens to be my favorite! I have a big family! Every year, the night before Thanksgiving, my Aunt comes over to decorate the table. This Aunt (Linda) is the one who started me with Paper Crafting in the first place – 15 years ago! She goes ALL OUT! My husband and I scramble around for hours trying to figure out how we are going to fit everyone in the dining room because I don't like to have anyone at another table! This causes more shifting and moving and, honestly, arguing than you would imagine!
It usually ends up with me looking up my pictures from last Thanksgiving so I can prove to my husband that my configuration is the correct one! LOL! It's crazy and we do it every year! His family moved to Florida a couple of years ago so there aren't quite as many of us anymore – but I still always have at least 20. (Easier than my usual 27 but challenging nonetheless!)
I was searching through my photos for something else today and came across this photo and I wanted to share it with you.
We tallied all of the votes from the Holiday Extravaganza Participants…
CONGRATULATIONS to our FIRST PLACE WINNER!!!
SHARON LOGUERCIO!
