I know. I skipped a day. I loved the look of these alcohol ink techniques and wanted to give them a whirl. The one thing I love about them is that you get a completely different look every time you try. The one thing I hate about them is that you get a completely different look every time you try. LOL! So, when you find one that you’ve done and want to recreate it…sorry, Sister! Ain’t gonna happen. This makes you completely addicted to trying over and over and falling more in love with more pieces. You see where I’m going with this, don’t you. So, yes…it has been another day of many lost hours. Happily, I’m doing exactly what I love to do so it’s all good. On to the samples…
These are the ones I finished for today. I skipped two of them because I need to wait for yet another delivery of “supplies.” (See how I made that sound SO important and “work-y.”) I am completely obsessed with Negative Resist which was a bonus technique that Tim came up with and it is so incredibly cool! The Evolution Stamp Set is perfect for this one! I’ll be posting cards using these techniques next week.
I also liked the Stamped Resist. The colors reminded are kind camo and the texture fade is my absolute favorite.
The one I can see myself becoming most obsessed with is the Liquid Landscape. Yikes! SO many possibilities!. This was my first attempt. I’ll cut it down for a tag and use it in my book.
This is the piece I created for the card sample but it went off the rails a little. I still like it though.
This is Faded Layers. I definitely should have created more layers for the “removal” phase of the technique.
This Stamped Resist Technique lost some detail because I didn’t have a Hickory Smoke Archival Ink Pad so I used black. Definitely going to try again when my “supplies” arrive. 😉
Stay tuned for some more Technique Antics. Thanks for stopping by!
Gorgeous tags and I LOVE your liquid landscape. I too think I will enjoy playing with this technique.
Thanks so much, Karen! I loved that one! I’m posting a card that solved one of my problems with it.
All your techniques came out beautiful! I especially love how your stamp resist came out!
Thanks so much, Stephanie! 😀
It’s all good!
Thank you! 😀
