I didn’t even realize today was September 1st! Yikes! WHERE did they YEAR go?! Is it only me – or was this the absolute quickest year EVER! I love Mondays and the first of the month because they’re new beginnings and…let’s not forget Tim’s Tag of the Month! I really do look forward to participating and pushing myself creatively but…today was alcohol inks! Let’s just say they are not my friend! LOL! I have not had much success with them but I can’t miss a month so here goes…
The Ghosting Technique was used where you sponge Alcohol Blending Solution through a Stencil and allow it to dry. Then, swipe it through a light color of Alcohol Ink. If you look closely, you can see the letters from Tim’s Schoolhouse Layering Stencil “ghosted” in the background of the tag. (This stencil seems to show up the best for me.)
I forgot to take pictures along the way – but, it’s probably better that you follow Tim’s Tutorial HERE.
I posted this because I often hear – “I can’t do that technique” or “Mine doesn’t come out like yours” – Sometimes I struggle too! So – here is my not-so-great Tag of the Month!

Tim Holtz – 12 Tags of 2014 – September
I’m glad to see that you persevered through the new technique as well. I personally think you did a great job!
Thanks, Christy!
Very quick and very beautiful!
“Not so great tag”–REALLY??? I think your tag is gorgeous! I love that background and those butterflies are just beautiful! Really well done tag!
LOL – Thanks so much! 😀
I think you did great with this tag. I really like the stamps that you have used, very creative and very inspiring. I don’t have the stamp that Tim used or the rubs, so I will have to use others. Thank you for sharing your tag, you have inspired me to be creative and go for it with what I have.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Jacquelene! I’m so glad that you were inspired by this tag! 😀
