Yay!!! My New Banners are done for the Holiday Edition of Project Parade at my online class blog – www.StampAcademy.com! I'm so excited! What do you think????
Happy Sunday! The weather is beautiful here but I know there's a Hurricane hitting Florida! I'm sending lots of hugs to all of you down there!
Today's card is monochromatic and blends textures and monochromatic colors. It's simple but, then again, not! I combined the Dynamic Duos Challenge but had no Concord Crush so I used Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder and used the sketch from Freshly Made. I hope you like it! 😀
Supplies: Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White card stocks; Designer Series Paper Packs: Neutrals and Regals; Big Shot; Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder; Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder; Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set; Elegant Eggplant Ink; Tiny Tag punch; Paper Piercing Tool; Rhinestone Brad; Rhinestone Jewels; Whisper White Organdy Ribbon; Scallop Circle Punch; Vanilla Smooch Spritz; Snail Adhesive; Glue Dots.
When I saw this Card Making Sketch on Sudsol, I fell in love with it! I love texture and the new embossing folders makes it sooooo easy to do a simple card that doesn't look simple at all! This card has almost no stamping on it but it's still quite interesting! The Designer Series Paper is busy so I used Whisper White card stock for the textured strips. I would have loved a wide red ribbon but didn't have one so I combined two to get a look I was happy with. I hope you like it. 😀

Supplies: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Whisper White card stocks; Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper; Big Shot; Square Lattice, Polka Dot, Houndstooth and Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Folders; Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set; Real Red Ink; Bitty Banners Framelits; White Organdy Ribbon; Real Red 1/8" Tafetta Ribbon; 1" Square Punch; Rhinestones; Stampin' Dimensionals; Glue Dots; Snail Adhesive.
I totally forgot about this great technique until I saw a challenge for it! I looked up from my desk and there was this beautiful card that was given to me by my downline and friend, Yvette Sanchez, many years ago. Although it uses retired products, you can easily reproduce it with our current stamps and papers. I hope you love it as much as I do! 😀
Yes! It's true! I'm off my neutrals…It was difficult but I managed to tear myself away! LOL! I purposely tried to use summer colors in this card because I know Fall will be here in no time! The Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper is a welcome addition to card making because it does half the work for you! I paired it with lots of white to avoid overwhelming the viewer. 🙂 Enjoy!

Supplies: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and Real Red card stocks; Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper; Delicate Doilies Stamp Set; Real Red Ink; 1 3/4" Circle Punch; 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch; Big Shot; Polka Dot Embossing Folder; Fancy Fan Embossing Folder; Scallop Border Punch; Itty Bitty Banners; Bitty Banner Framelits; Rhinestones; White Taffeta Ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals; Snail Adhesive.
I promise I'll go back to different colors but, technically, this was created yesterday so it doesn't count. LOL! I love finding cards that I really like because I can make a bunch of them and have them on hand. I tend to be so much more polite when I have cards! haha! My Thank You notes go out quicker and the Thinking of You's and Happy Birthday's are timely as well. 😉 This one can be used for almost anything. The inside was decorated with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to write on and it was decorated with a half inch strip of Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack. Enjoy!

Supplies: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stocks; Big Shot; Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impression Folder; Window Frames Collection Framelits; From My Heart Stamp Set; Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Inks; Stampin' Sponges; Designer Buttons; 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals; Glue Dots; Snail Adhesive.
I am stuck on these Neutrals! I just love the simplicity of them! I know I'll have to go back to colors some time but, for now, I am just having a blast making cards with Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Basic Black! I hope you're not getting tired of them! LOL!
Enjoy!
I love the Textured Impressions Folders! If you really look at this card, you'll notice that there's really not much on it! The texture of the embossed card stocks with the patterned paper does all the work for you! I used one of our Edgelits to get the design on the side of the ribbon and the Crochet Trim softens the black.

Our Jumbo Sticky Rounds are awesome for any Paper Crafting Project! I love using them for flowers especially but today I just smushed some of our Crumb Cake Tulle onto the sticky round and put the greeting on top! The "From the Heart" Stamp Set is beautiful and you can use different Framelits to cut them out to make them look completely different. (Today's was cut free hand.) Check out yesterday's card for another example of this greeting.

Supplies: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla Card Stocks; Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack; From The Heart Stamp Set; Versamark Ink; Black Embossing Powder; Heat Tool; Jumbo Sticky Rounds; Crumb Cake Tulle; Victoria Crochet Trim; Big Shot; Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder; Finishing Touches Framelits; Paper Snips; Stampin' Dimensionals; Glue Dots; Snail Adhesive.
I love the Designer Series Paper Packs!!!! They can be used for all different kinds of projects! I used different patterns from the Neutrals (of course!) Designer Pack but each of the color families has their own. Because it was so simple, I popped each layer up with Stampin' Dimensionals to add a little more interest.
Whaddya think?

I know, I know! I'm stuck on neutrals! I am just loving these colors – or non-colors in my paper crafting and everywhere else! haha!
This is a simple card that I did using the inspiration of a coffee mug that was VERY simple – just bands of cream color with a band of chocolate color on top. I fought to leave it simple 'cause you know I LOVE to take things up a notch – and then another one! But…here it is…in all its simplicity.

Neutrals…I lOVE 'em! My whole house is neutral, my clothes are usually neutral and NOW, my card is neutral too! Let me know what you think. Hope you're having a GREAT day! :-)
