As we sit and wait for The collosal storm "Sandy" to hit, I am thinking of my kids and wishing they were here instead of away at their respective colleges! So, the only thing I can do is…make them a card! So, here's the first one. I will be posting another one this afternoon so check back. If you're stuck at home because of the storm and are looking for more ideas, sign up for my mailing list and you will be automatically subscribed to 12 Weeks of Christmas! You will receive a new project every Monday! Enjoy today and BE SAFE!
This beautiful creation was made by Sharon Abrams (SharonsDesigns.com) using MDS and then adding embellishments. The photo does it NO justice! It is far more beautiful in person. It won a prize for the best MDS project at my upline's meeting.
I love making Wedding Cards! My cards are often "over the top" and loaded with embellishments or bling of some kind. When you do a Wedding Card, you can go crazy 'cause it's such a special occasion. This card is for a good friend of mine who is getting married. It was fun making this card for him – especially because all of the elements were already done when I started! I often tell you to cut a couple of extra shapes, dies, etc and when you have your Big Shot and embossing folders out, do a couple of extras. Everything – from the flowers to the die cuts to the embossed layers were left-overs! I hope you like it. 🙂
If you'd like to see the Video of how the flowers were done, you can find it HERE.

I love my friends! And I love sending cards to them! The Big Shot and the Textured Impressions Folders make creating cards easy and fun! The Houndstooth and Argyle Folders give this card a more masculine look – which I wanted. The Stampin' Dimensionals help create interest by popping the elements up off of the card. Finally, the color scheme is simple and masculine which keeps the card clean yet allows you to focus on the watch. I hope you like it!
