Happy September! Having College/Grad School age kids makes me forget how crazy September is for most of you! I don't know why everyone schedules everything for September – back to school night, meet the coaches, dance, cheerleading, football – all those meetings. It used to feel like I was out every night! Now, September is exciting because I know fall is only days away! It is my FAVORITE time of year! Living in the Northeast, the fall foliage is spectacular! Anyway…you have all been so kind and patient while I've been on my grunge spree that I thought I'd make a little something you could create for your child's teacher. This is a Magnetic Bookmark. VERY simple to make! Just a strip of cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine using the Chalk Talk Framelits. If you fold your cardstock in half and position the cutting plate just BELOW the fold line, you will get a piece that opens and closes. Then, stamp the Chalk Talk Stamp in Craft White Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock and cut it out using the Chalk Talk Framelits. Layer that on top and then knot your ribbon. Lastly, just put a strip of magnet on each side of the interior of the bookmark so that it will magnetically sandwich the page when used. Voila! A simple, handmade Magnetic Bookmark! Enjoy!
