I can never get enough of the Shabby/Distressed Look!
This sample combines a bunch of my recent techniques: Faux Acrylic Distress, (You can see the Video for that HERE), Shabby Chic, and Distressed Ribbon from Technique-A-Week over at Stamp Academy! I hope you like it!
Card is Soft Suede, Layer is created using the Faux Acrylic Distress Technique (Video Link Above) and Cajun Craze ink, Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder, sanding block, Pool Party ink, "Brother" from the Loved Ones Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini torn and sponged with Soft Suede Ink and layered onto a torn piece of soft sude and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. The Cajun Craze ribbon is distressed and then wrapped with linen thread. The Antique Brads are hammered to further distress them.
What a great card Cathy. I love the whole effect. Who would have thought that Pool Party was used & the idea of hammering your brads – WOW! Thanks for joining us this week at Sunny Challenges & Creations
What a wonderful card! Love the distressed background and that ribbon- oh my! I agree with Vicky- hammering the brads adds so much to this card as well. Thanks for joining us this week at Sunny Challenges and Creations 🙂
Thanks so much, Vicky! 😀
Thanks, Julie!
It was a great sketch.

I love what you have done with this sketch. Your distressing of the cardstock and the ribbon is gorgeous. Thanks for playing along at Sunny Challenges & Creations this week.
