Today is Earth Day! So…I decided to do a little extra recycling! Many of us order online (a lot!) and receive the crumpled brown packing paper with our orders. A while back at one of my Team Meetings, Sandy Kamelgarn shared her recycled flowers using that paper! I loved it! So, here is my Sketch Card using recycled brown packing paper for my flower! Enjoy!
The original card I did is below. But then, I decided to smooch spritz it 'cause, you know ME: "Enough is Never Enough!"
😀 Which do you like better – Clean or "Dirty"????
Here's a close-up of the flower…I smooched it with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz!
Supplies: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla card stocks, Mocha Morning DSP (of course!), Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Full of Life Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, Vintage Brad, Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, Large Pearls, Big Shot, Framed Tulip Textured Impressions Folder
What a beautiful way to recycle that packing paper … love those neutral tones … so glad you joined us at Unscripted Sketches.
I have quite a history with SU! – I was a concept artist there for several years…. so I have this greeting set, and it’s one of my favs! Darling card by the way. Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Unscripted Sketches. (:
Thanks for the compliment! I’m glad you guys like the card!
I am a huge fan of recycled flowers and I just love yours, great card.
thanks for playing at unscripted sketches and I hope we see you again soon.
love me 🙂
I love the distressed look, so “dirty” would be my preference. Great flower!
Thanks! And, Chris, I am always a fan of distressed and dirty too! 😀
Thanks for the comments!
I love both of your cards! Great idea to use the paper to make your flower. Personally, I love the smooched look – adds interest without overpowering the rest of the card! Thanks for playing along with us this week at Unscripted Sketches.
What a great card and use of recycled packaging! I like it both ways, but I’d have to say that adding the extra spray gives it more depth! Thank you for joining us at Unscripted Sketches! 🙂
Thanks, Geri!
