Today, I'm combining two Card Challenges – One is a Color Challenge: To use Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso and the other challenge was to use Ribbons. I love Card Challenges because I can create more easily when I have parameters. When I can do anything I find it more difficult to create a card! I think I have just about every Paper Crafting "thing" in my craft room! In fact, I'm going to post pictures of the StampsAndScrapbooks Studio so you can see what a hoarder I've become! LOL! I have been looking at the Truly Grateful Stamp Set (see below) since the Holiday Mini Catalog was published! I've been trying to convince myself that I don't need it! But…I've seen so many beautiful cards made using it that I finally gave in and bought it! I really, really like it!!!! This card began with a base of Tangerine Tango Cardstock. The next layer is Early Espresso Cardstock that was passed through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The background stamp from the Truly Grateful Stamp Set was stamped in Early Espresso Ink onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. It was then cut out and layered onto Crushed Curry Cardstock and then Tangerine Tango Cardstock.
The greeting is stamped in Tangerine Tango Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punched using the Large Oval Punch. The edges were sponged with Early Espresso Ink. It was then layered onto a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock that was punched with the Extra Large Oval Punch and run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. They were attached to each other and the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The wheat was stamped in Crushed Curry Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and then cut out with Paper Snips. Linen Thread was wrapped around it and then it was adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The ribbons are Burlap Ribbon with the edges frayed, Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon cut with Craft Scissors into a banner edge and then Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain with the edges banner cut as well. They were adhered to the card using Sticky Strip – for the burlap – and then Glue Dots for the others. The acorns were stamped in Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. The edges were sponged with Early Espresso Ink and they were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
In this photo, you can see the dimensions of all the embellishments.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! and can be found in my ONLINE STORE.
