All good things must eventually come to an end and after much consideration Monica Weaver from Add a Little Dazzle has decided to close the Dazzling Diva Challenge. The blog and boutique will continue being open offering unique creations and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets. I invite you to continue following the Add a Little Dazzle blog.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a Design Team Member for this Challenge! AALD Craft Metal is so easy to incorporate into your projects! It looks fabulous but is as easy to handle as card stock! You’ll continue to see it on my projects, I’m sure!
For this card, Outrageously Orange Craft Metal was die cut using the Hello You Thinlits Die. You can see it to the left of the photo below. The negative piece was then added to an embossed piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.**
I wanted to add the small pieces inside of the h, a, k and s. While the metal was still in the die, I added Glue Dots to the larger pieces I needed and Liquid Glue to the smaller ones.
I flipped the die over so that it was back into the letters and pressed only the small pieces that had the glue on the backs. This adhered the small pieces inside of the script letters. It’s not really necessary but I think it definitely looks better.
**Before you adhere the Orange Craft Metal to the Embossed Card Stock, slip two pieces of 5/8″ Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon under it. This will give a finished look to the ribbon edges. Tie a Double Bow using the “How To Tie A Double Bow Using Your Fingers Technique” (See VIDEO HERE) – and attach to the ribbons with Glue Dots. You can also use Glue Dots to position the “tails” of the ribbon.
For the flowers, stamp the SU! Love Is Kindness Stamp in Black Memento Ink onto the smooth side of Watercolor Card Stock and heat set (or allow to dry).
Use a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the tops of the tulips and a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker to fill in the bottom of the tulip and spritz with Water. Blot with a paper towel and heat set.
Use a Pear Pizzaz Stampin’ Write Marker and a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the leaves. Spritz with Water. Blot with a paper towel and heat set.
Use a Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the newspaper. Spritz with Water and blot with a paper towel. Use the marker to create a shadow and spritz and blot.
You can outline the string with a Chocolate Chip Marker, if desired. A Pearl Basic Jewel was added to the bottom of the card front to finish it off.
Adhere the finished card front to a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and then adhere that to a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Garden Green Card – scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
I encourage you to play along with us at the Dazzling Diva Challenge! Help us go out with a bang! 🙂

I love the idea of using the negative piece! Thanks for sharing how to add back the insides of the letters. That was ingenious! I don’t think I will ever be able to tie a bow like you do – no matter how many times I watch the video! This is my favorite creation for this challenge!
Thank you so much, Donna! YES! You will definitely be able to tie that bow! LOL! I used to feel exactly the same way but I do it so often now that it’s become second nature!
Thanks for being part of the Dazzling Diva Design Team. It was an honor having you on the team. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. 🙂
