Now, for the Halloween Post….I can't believe tomorrow is October already! Wow! Time is FLYING by! Here's my first Halloween project of the season. The Big Shot Die Cutting Machine is always poppin' around here! I emboss practically everything and those Framelits – They are a Card Maker's Dream! This card was done using the Circles Collection Framelits. Cut one complete circle from Basic Black Cardstock and then take another piece of Basic Black Cardstock (4 1/2 x 11) and fold it like a card. Run it through the Big Shot using the Scallop Circle Framelit but place the FOLD line of the card BELOW the cut line of the Framelit so that when it cuts, it leaves a part of the fold line in tact. Then, adhere the full scallop on top and it looks like the whole card is scalloped! The next layer (Pumpkin Pie Cardstock) was cut with the Circles Collection Framelits and then run through the Big Shot in the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The edges of the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock were sponged with Basic Black Ink and a Stampin' Sponge. I cut strips of Basic Black Cardstock as "ribbons" and ran both through the Big Shot – one in the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and one in the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The banner edges were cut using the 1" Square Punch.
The flowers were punched using the Boho Punch (largest flower). I layered 5 of them and put a Mini Brad in the center and scrunched them up. I colored the Mini Brad with a Black Sharpie Marker so it wouldn't show. I then adhered them to the "ribbons" using Glue Dots. The Black Glitter was applied with a 2-Way Glue Pen. The Rhinestone Basic Jewels were colored using an Orange Sharpie Marker and adhered in every scallop. BLING!
The "Happy Halloween" Greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set. I inked only the words "Happy Halloween" in Versamark Ink and then colored the pumpkin with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker. I embossed the words using Black Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool. I ran the 2-Way Glue Pen around the edges of the greeting (Because I just couldn't HELP myself!) and dipped it into Orange Glitter. It was adhered to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside of the card is a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock that was cut with the Circles Collection Framelits and sponged with Basic Black Ink. It was adhered using SNAIL Adhesive.
