I'm busy working on the 12 Weeks of Christmas/Hanukkah! I can't show you any of the goodies yet but make sure you're on my mailing list (the box above on the left) because it's ONLY for my Mailing List Peeps and you don't want to miss out!!! So, the Land of the Free Bookmark – Well, It's cookie time for my favorite soldier! I think he may be coming home next month, so this could be the last of the long distance cookie brigade! For that reason, I was thinking of putting a bookmark in the package. Not that I think he has any time for reading! But…I get very nostalgic and patriotic when I think about the incredible sacrifice that soldiers and their families make. So…this is what I came up with! I used a bunch of Retired Stamp Sets for this one. I'm sorry in advance if you fall in love with any of them!
I love these trinkets! We need more daily positive messages! And…the corner pieces are my personal favorites – and I think it'll help the bookmark to be more durable. I also back the tag with another tag to have a nice clean finish and give the whole tag more stability.
The "Journey" trinket just finished off the whole project. 🙂
The ink background of the whole tag was done by putting a few drops of reinker on the craft mat with a few drops of crackle paint and then spritzed the tag with water and swiped it through. Then, heat set it and do it a couple more times until the whole tag is covered. Then heat set and stamp!
