The holidays FLEW by! I hope you enjoyed being with family and friends. I always get sentimental with the passing of another year – it makes me cherish the time I have with the people I love. Leave me a Comment with your Vote for your Favorite 2013 Card from my Blog for a chance to WIN BLOG CANDY! This card is kinda Valentine-y but could be used for a "just because" card. I tried to think out of the box for this one so I used a Sweetheart Treat Bag from the Occasions Mini (on sale Jan 3rd) as my banner and heart. It was easy using the new Banner Framelit Dies and Hearts A Flutter Dies and the Soft Sky Banner that came with the Sweetheart Treat Bag!

The base card is Soft Sky Cardstock that was cut 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". It was passed through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (that's in the Sale-A-Bration Freebie Brochure!). As I said, the Red Heart Banners were cut from a Treat Bag using the Banner Framelits and the Soft Sky Banner is from the Sweetheart Treat Bag Set. The "Love" was cut using the Expressions Thinlits Die and adhered to the cardstock using 2Way Glue. The Silver Glimmer Heart and the small Red Heart were cut using the Hearts-A-Flutter Dies. The Whisper White Organza Ribbon was ruffled using Sticky Strip and Glue Dots.

The inside of the card is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock with a scalloped heart cut out using the Hearts-A-Flutter Framelits. The word "you" is from Fabulous Phrases and was stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink and embossed using a Heat Tool and White Embossing Powder.
