For the first time EVER, I am participating in a Rubber Stamping Sketch Callenge! I love sketches and I always admire the participant's cards but I never actually tried it. As usual, Kris McIntosh did a fabulous card and when I complimented her, she invited me to participate…So…here it is.
The Sketch is from Sunny Challenges & Creations. One of the requirements was to use a wheel. Here's the sketch:
This is my submission:
It is a basic Card Design using Elegant Eggplant Card Stock #105126 card 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, layered with Very Vanilla Card Stock #101650 cut 5 1/4 x 4 and passed through the Big Shot #113439 with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Embossing Folder #120175. On top of that, I layered a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 with the Very Vintage Stampin' Wheel #117693 rolled across it using Elegant Eggplant Classic Reinker #105222 in a Jumbo Ink Cartridge #103678 and Jumbo Wheel Handle #103661 and then layered onto Elegant Eggplant Card Stock 5 1/4 x 1 3/4. The ribbon is 1/8" Taffeta Vanilla #119960. The flowers are from the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set Wood #117690 , Clear#118598. I stamped two and layered them, then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals #104430. The Greeting, "Enjoy," is from You're a Gem Stamp Set Wood #122268, Clear #122270. It is punched out using the Small Oval Punch #120908 and then layered onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant Card Stock and I just cut around it using Paper Snips #103579, then popped up using Stampin' dimensionals. The Basic Pearls #119247 are used as an accent.
I can never leave well enough alone so I played with it a little and designed a Down and Dirty Distressed version. Let me know which one do you like better?
River Rock Card Stock #108640 is sponged using Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink #105210 and a Sponge Dauber #102892, The 1/8" Ivory Taffeta Ribbon#119960 is colored using a sponge dauber and the River Rock Classic Ink Pad #109010. The edges of the card stocks are distressed using the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit #106958. The wheel is rolled onto Naturals Ivory Card Stock #101849 and sponged over with River Rock Classic Ink and a Stampin' Sponge #101610.
Enjoy!
