Welcome to the SUDSOL Blog Tour! You're probably coming directly from SUDSOL! I am thrilled to be your first stop today! Look around, let me know what you think and if you see something that you need clarification on, drop me an email! Also, I'm giving away lots of Blog Candy so leave me a comment and check back to see if you win!
I've been a Demonstrator for almost 15 years so my customers have been around a looooong time! My projects are usually better suited to classes but this is my "Go-To" card for newbies/workshops. It uses minimal supplies and makes a great gift if you package up a few and tie with a coordinating ribbon. (It was cased from a gift packet that Yvette Sanchez made me.)
Supplies: Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card stocsks; International Bazaar Designer Series Paper; Daffodil Delight Seam Binding; Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon; Morning Post Alphabet Stamp Set; Versamark Ink; Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink; Clear Embossing Powder; Heat Tool, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch; Snail Adhesive; Stampin' Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots. (Technique: "Cheater Embossing")
This card is "clean" looking but has a lot of dimension and texture. It uses lots of new product from the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog. (The oval is colored in with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and the next layer is punched with the Extra Large Oval Punch.) All supplies are listed below.
Supplies: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White card stocks; Big Shot; Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder (my fave!); Apothecary Accents Framelits; Layered Labels Stamp Set; Stazon Black Ink; Real Red Stampin' Write Marker; Large Oval Punch; Basic Black 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon; Linen Thread; Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons; Stampin' Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots; Snail Adhesive.
One of the first things I did when my last child left for college was to start a Book Club. I invited my favorite women to get together once a month. Every month someone different hosts and they get to choose the book. It's been great to "get out of my box" and read lots of books I would not have otherwise read. It is such a blessing and a treat to get to spend time with these amazing women on a regular basis! Each year, when it's my turn to host, I make bookmarks for "the girls." This is going to be the next one they receive. (I will do a video for these and post it for you in a day or two.) Enjoy!
Supplies: Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stocks; Postage Due, Morning Post Alphabet and Daydream Medallions Stamp Sets; Big Shot; Two Tags Die; Floral Framelits Dies; 1 1/4" Circle Punch; Stampin' Sponge; Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake Inks; Versamark Ink; Clear Embossing Powder; Heat Tool; Stampin' Dimensionals; Snail Adhesive; Paper Snips. (Techniques: Emboss Resist, "Cheater Embossing")
I threw this card in last minute because you came all the way over here so I wanted to make sure you got enough ideas! If you take a look around you'll realize that, to me, embellishments are kind of like cookies, once I get started I really just can't stop myself!
Supplies: Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White card stocks; Big Shot; Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder; Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder; Bitty Banners Framelits; A Cherry on Top and Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Sets; Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink; Versamark Ink; Heat Tool; Clear Embossing Powder; Paper Snips; Basic Pearls; Stampin' Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots; Corner Rounder; Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack; Stylus Tool; Mat; Shimmer Spray
