I hope you’ve been enjoying the 12 Weeks of Christmas Series! In the event you haven’t decided on your Holiday Card Design yet (hurry! LOL), this is a quick and easy card from StampAcademy.com using Watercolor Paper and a Die Cut to produce some pretty spectacular results (if I must say so myself!).
For the backgrounds, I used Lost Lagoon, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Inks applied to SU!’s Watercolor Wash Background Stamp. Both the stamp and the Watercolor Paper were spritzed with water. After stamping, I spritzed the paper again to achieve the desired background and heat set. Definitely do a bunch of these at a time. You can use them for so many different things: Backgrounds, Die Cuts, Punches…
Once the Watercolor Paper is totally dry, rub an Embossing Buddy over the surface and stamp with the “dots” from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and Versamark Ink. Emboss using Silver Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
For this card, I used “hello” from SU!’s Hello Thinlits Dies. There are some other great options such as “peace,” “jolly,” or “merry” from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies or you could even create your own greeting using Little Letters Thinlits Dies!
To assemble the card, attach the background (4″ x 5-1/4″) to a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Silver Foil Sheet. Attach a Silver Satin Ribbon and secure behind the card stock. Tie a double bow using the “How to Tie a Double Bow using your Fingers Technique” (You can see the VIDEO HERE) and attach it to the ribbon with Glue Dots.
