I've been fascinated with Paper Flowers for quite a while now! You've seen many different kids and hopefully you've even made a few yourself! This flower is a little different than my usual flowers from Scallop Punches. This one was created using the Fancy Flower Punch. It's definitely MORE like a real flower but harder to mail! I'll put up a Video for this type of flower in a day or two so you can make your own. (You may have seen these before – I didn't "invent" it but I've been making them for years!) The background for this card was created in the same way as the background in my Postcard Background HERE. It's very easy to do! I like this one 'cause, to me, it looks "smokey!"

The flower was punched, embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and then assembled. When It was assembled, I ran my 2-Way Glue Pen over the whole thing and dipped it into Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The base card is Bermuda Bay cardstock. The background was created using Whisper White cardstock. Then, Basic Black cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Finishing Touches Edgelits. Then, a layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Folder. To add "a little something," I folded over a piece of Basic Black Chevron Ribbon and tucked it under the rose.

The inside of the card was a simple piece of Whisper White cardstock.

As for the BACKGROUND, very simply, you put a few drops of Distress Paint and then a couple of drops of reinker in the colors you want – This card uses Black Distress Paint, Smoky Slate Reinker and Bermuda Bay Reinker. Then, just "swipe" your cardstock through and you'll get different looks. Keep "swiping" until you fill up your cardstock. I then sprayed some Bermuda Bay Reinker mixed with 70% Alcohol. Every piece will be different!
