My son just celebrated his 22nd Birthday! I'm not sure HOW that happened since he was 5 a week ago – or so it seems! He's a great kid and VERY busy at college so this was the first birthday since he was born that I didn't get to spend with him. 🙁 So, I made this for him. It uses the "template" from StampAcademy.com. There's a simple FREE video that shows exactly how to create this – in no time!
I love this quote from John Lennon! I'm trying to be more present and not let life pass me by! So, I started early on this card! LOL
The card is Pool Pary with Everyday Enchantment (FREE) Designer Series Paper. The cirlce is Calypso Coral and so is the ink. The flower was created using the 1 1/4" circle punch and 3 pool party circles and 3 DSP circles. I hemmed and hawed over leaving it "dirty" or adding a little shimmer and, of course, knowing me – I had to just do a little more! haha – so the flower is painted on the edges using the shimmer paint. I opted for the white circle instead of vanilla so it would pop a little. Hope you like it!
I can never get enough of the Shabby/Distressed Look!
This sample combines a bunch of my recent techniques: Faux Acrylic Distress, (You can see the Video for that HERE), Shabby Chic, and Distressed Ribbon from Technique-A-Week over at Stamp Academy! I hope you like it!
Card is Soft Suede, Layer is created using the Faux Acrylic Distress Technique (Video Link Above) and Cajun Craze ink, Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder, sanding block, Pool Party ink, "Brother" from the Loved Ones Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini torn and sponged with Soft Suede Ink and layered onto a torn piece of soft sude and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. The Cajun Craze ribbon is distressed and then wrapped with linen thread. The Antique Brads are hammered to further distress them.

I'm just a Sketcharina lately! LOL! Here's my take on the UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge for 3/24
Pool Party card stock, layers are Sweet Shop DSP, Faux Ribbon is Calypso Coral card stock run through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder, Sweet Cake Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink, Blushing Bride Stampin' Marker, Red Glimmer Paper, Cupcake Punch (cherry), Owl Punch (heart), Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Vanilla Smooch Spritz, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive, Enjoy!
I couldn't be more excited to announce the Preview of Project Parade – Spring Edition over at StampAcademy.com

My Uncle celebrated a BIG birthday last week! I wanted to make him a Golf related card 'cause he lives and breathes Golf every day! This one was made with my very last scrap of Forest Foliage card stock. It housed a gift card.
This card is Crumb Cake card stock with Calypso Coral and Everyday Enchantment DSP. Everything is sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink. The butterflies are Wild Wasabi, Pook Party and Calypso Coral and were made using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. The Greeting is from Curly Cute and the punches were Modern Label and Large Oval. The Pearls are from the Basic Pearls sheet.
Enjoy!
