I had my 35th High School Reunion this past weekend! It was so great to catch up with old friends and especially with those classmates that were really just acquaintances but, after all these years, you feel genuinely grateful to check-in on and see how well they've been doing! After 35 years, all the cliques of High School and "baggage" that tainted friendships way back then are GONE. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed chatting with everyone else. My graduating class was only 175 and I feel genuine affection for these people! Our Class President has organized a Reunion EVERY FIVE YEARS since Graduation! That is incredible! I don't think she expected to be Class President for Life but it has worked out that way! LOL! She just steps up and does this and we all appreciate it so much – more now that we are getting older! This time, everyone wanted to do something special for her to show her how much we appreciate her so we took a collection and she is going to buy a piece of jewelry to remind her of how much she is loved and appreciated by her former classmates.
So – you may be asking: What exactly does all this have to do with Paper Crafting? Well…I created a "This and That" Journal to bring to the Reunion with me. I took Polaroid Pictures of people as the night went on and pasted them in with Washi Tape and passed the book around so people could write notes to her. She can use it as a Reunion Scrapbook and insert her own pictures from the reunion as well. I also created a card for her so I thought I'd share them with you. (I will post the card with a video tomorrow.) All Supplies (listed below) are Stampin' Up! and are available in my ONLINE STORE. Enjoy! 🙂
In case you want to see a couple of pics from the Event, here are a couple with friends. (That's me in the middle.) My friend, Rose, is on the left – If you're a frequent visitor, you've seen her birthday card with the "roses" on it! On the right is Larry, a classmate, who I reconnected with on Facebook so it felt like we were already friends!
Some of "The Girls" from the Reunion. They looked fabulous and were awesome!

It looks like you had a wonderful time. Great to finally meet one of your special Roses. Your journal was such a beautiful idea. Maybe in five years, all the participants can get their own and you can have a huge workshop! You are so fortunate to see your hs associates. I am no longer close to mine. Of course, I live 700 miles from them and we lost touch. I can’t wait to see your card. Your class has a great president for life!
