The other day, I was driving up my street with my son in the car and I just had to stop! The leaves are just incredible! I feel so fortunate that I get to see beautiful things every day! I asked him to take a picture so I could share it with you. I know I've been posting a lot of fall things lately – My Card Making is often a direct reflection on what I am seeing! I guess all Paper Crafters do that!
I haven't posted a Scrapbook Page in a looooong time so I think it's definitely time! This is an 8" x 8" piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. I used 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" Chocolate Chip Mats for my photos with 4" x 4" Whisper White Cardstock that has been run through the Big Shot in the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For the title, I used a stamp from the Seasonal Sayings Stamp Set and colored it directly using Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers. I cut it out using the Big Shot and one of the tag frames from the Chalk Talk Framelits. It is layered onto another tag which was cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits and Chocolate Chip Cardstock that was run through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Stampin' Dimensionals were used on each of the layers and the leaves in the title.
I had some of these leaves left over from a Stamp Academy project that Ann Marie Bryant sent me and i just fell in love with them! (You can see a card made with them HERE.) They're so easy to do! Just ink in a light color in and scribble in markers (always working light to dark) and Voilá! I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and a Stampin' Sponge to make them look more realistic and to cover up the white space that was left from my less-than-perfect stamping job! The Autumn Accents Die coordinates with the Wonderfall Stamp Set BUT, you have to cut out the leaves first and then stamp onto them. I guess you could do it the other way but I think this is easier! The acorns were colored using a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker and a Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker. After running a piece of Burlap Ribbon across the front of the cardstock (adhered with Sticky Strip), I assembled the leaves and Glue Dotted them together. I tied Linen Thread through a Designer Natural Button and adhered that to the front using Glue Dots. The entire collection of leaves was attached to the cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The leaves in opposite diagonal corners were only attached in the corner using a Stampin' Dimensional so that I could easily slip a photo under them. The same was done for the maple leaf in the center. It was attached in the center but the sides were left unattached for photos as well. All supplies are Stampin' Up! and can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE!
