I am ALL ABOUT Vintage Techniques and this on rocked my world! "My Boyfriend, T!m" did a video and I just HAD to try it! First, you put different color paints on a Craft Mat. I don't have a lot of them so I used Broken China and a little bit of one of the greens. Then, smush it all over the tag and dry the tag with a Heat Tool. Next, put Copper Distress Paint all over the surface of the tag. IMMEDIATELY drop water droplets onto it and larger ones in a couple of areas. Start drying it and, before it completely dries, lay a paper towel over it and lift off some of the copper. Eroded Metal!!! OMG! I cannot stop doing this! Don't you just LOVE it!? I want to make something with it but I love them so much, I don't want to cover them up! LOL! Maybe next week I'll post one of the finished tags – if I can bring myself to do one! 😉
Obviously the first one is better than the second but I kinda like them both. I need more blues to really make it work! I added some browns on top just to age it a little more. You can see the pattern of the Paper Towel in it which was totally accidental. Now, I'll have to shop for plain paper towels! Yes…I know I've totally lost my mind now!
Enjoy your weekend! 😀
Actually, I think the paper towel motif is splendid!
Thank you, Belia! 😀
