Masculine Card with Woodgrain Craft Metal

I have been very busy lately! LOL I create just about every day but some days I’m making multiple projects for upcoming posts. I’m really excited to be doing some Guest Posting soon. You’ll hear about that in a few. In the mean time, I created this card for my Design Team work at Add A Little Dazzle. Last week, I did the “Mood Board.” This week, I tried a literal interpretation of the sketch (which I loved!). Not sure if it hit the mark but here it is anyway! 😉

Masculine Card with Woodgrain Craft Metal

Base card is Early Espresso Cardstock – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – scored and folded at 4-1/4″
A piece of TH Collage Paper Stash was cut to 4 1/8″ x 5-3/8″ for the next layer.
A piece of AALD Precious Pearl Craft Metal was embossed with SU!’s Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

Masculine Card with Woodgrain Craft Metal-pieces

Potting Soil and Black Archival Inks were swiped over the raised portions of the metal and heat set.
A strip of Dark Chocolate Craft Metal was embossed with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and attached to the card.

Black Soot Distress Paint was used to distress Idea-ology pieces which were attached to the card.
Jute String was tied through the hole in the key and frayed.
Feel Better from SU!’s Sassy Salutations Stamp Set was stamped onto a scrap of Manila Cardstock that was distressed with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and attached to a scrap of Collage Paper Stash that was Banner Cut using a 1″ Square Punch.
Twine was wrapped around the banner and then it was attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Time Traveler Masculine Card with Craft Metal

Masculine Cards are my favorite cards to create! Distress Inks are perfect for creating a Vintage look and the Embossing Folders are a great companion. Pair them with a few masculine embellishments and some Craft Metal and you’re good to go! The Dazzling Diva Challenge was a perfect opportunity to break out my new Stamps to pair with Craft Metal. This Time Traveler has been on my wish list for a long time. The Embossing Folders were already in my collection but they went well with my new stamp.

Time Traveler Card with Craft Metal

The base card is SU! Basic Black Card Stock cut 5″ x 11″ – scored and folded at 5-1/2″.

Time Traveler Card Sideview

A 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Manila Card Stock was embossed using TH’s Pocket Watch Embossing Folder.
Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Antiqued Bronze Distress Stains were applied to a Craft Sheet and spritzed with Water. The Card Stock was pressed into the Distress Inks and Heat Set.

Time Traveler Steps 1-2-3

Distress Inks – Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Broken China and Peacock Feathers – were applied to the card stock using a Blending Tool.
Antiqued Bronze Distress Stain was splattered onto the project using a paint brush.
The Ticket is from a Ticket Swap I participated in. I made some extras to save for another project (like this one!).

Time Traveler

The Time Traveler guy was stamped in Black Archival Ink and then watercolored using SU! Stampin’ Write Markers in Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso and an Aqua Painter. Antique Linen Distress Ink was used with the Aqua Painter also.
He was cut out and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Time Traveler Card Side View

A strip of Bronze Craft Metal was embossed using TH’s Eiffel Tower Embossing Folder and attached to the back of the card.
The Ticket was attached to the card front using an Aged Bronze Clip.
The Manila Card was attached to the card using Score-tape.

Time Traveler Elements

A metal watch embellishment was colored with Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint. Black Soot Distress Paint and Evergreen Bough Distress Paint were touched to the top of the watch to age it.
A Bronze Swivel Clasp was attached to the watch and then adhered to the card.
A scrap of AALD Brushed Bronze Craft Metal was embossed with AALD’s Gears Stainless Steel Stencil using a No More Shims Pad. It was cut out and attached to the corner of the card. Evergreen Bough Distress Ink was touched on top to age it.

Time Traveler Flat

Black Soot Distress Ink was splattered onto the surface of the card using a Paint Brush.

Wintery Christmas Card with Craft Metal and Glimmer Snowflake

I hope you’re all caught up on your gift shopping, baking, parties, menu planning, etc.! Sadly, I am not! Thank goodness for Amazon Prime – that’s all I’m sayin’! LOL My Christmas Cards finally went out this morning! Hey! It’s not Christmas yet, right? Isn’t the rule: As long as they’re postmarked by Christmas Eve you’re all good? Hmmmm – that’s what I tell myself anyway. 😉 I ran around all day today but I couldn’t let any more time go by before I entered my Monday Challenges! This card incorporates the themes of Music, Winter, and a Sketch Challenge. I hope you like it.

Wintery Christmas Card with Craft Metal and Glimmer

The base card is SU! Basic Black Card Stock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
The next layer is Silver Glimmer Paper 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
The Patterned Paper had the music notes printed on it already and then I stenciled through TCW’s Antiquities Stencil with TH’s Weathered Wood Distress Ink with a Blending Tool.
A 3″ x 3″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper was used to mat a 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of AALD Ocean Blue Craft Metal.
A Silver Satin Ribbon was attached across the front of the card and secured behind the Glimmer Paper with Glue Dots.

Double Bow

Silver Satin Ribbon was used to tie a Double Bow. The “How to Tie a Double Bow using your Fingers” Technique was used and the bow was attached to the card with Glue Dots.

Snowflake

TH’s Paper Snowflakes Thinlits Dies were used to cut a Snowflake from Silver Glimmer Paper. It was attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals that were trimmed to fit.

Joy in Craft Metal

TH’s Holiday Words Thinlits Dies were used to cut out the word “Joy” from Ocean Blue Craft Metal. It was mounted onto a 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper using Ranger’s Glue & Seal.
The Silver Glimmer Square was attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of SU!’s Whisper White Card Stock was attached to the inside of the card.

Happy Hanukkah Metal Embossed Card

Happy Hanukkah! I just got my shipment of Wondrous White Craft Metal Sheets and I love them! I’ve been meaning to do a Hanukkah card and today’s color combination was perfect for it! Other than embossing the metal and embossing the image, there’s nothing to this card. Easy Peasy! All Supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted. Need something? It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for the Dazzling Diva Challenge at Add A Little Dazzle! This will be the last challenge of the year! Can you believe it? You can enter your card HERE – it’s open until January 6th!

Happy Hanukkah Card

Base Card is SU! Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ – Scored and folded at 5-1/4″.
Silver Glimmer Paper is cut at 5-1/8″ x 5-1/8″
Wondrous White Craft Metal is 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ run through the Big Shot in the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. There will be a space at the edge – it’s covered by the ribbon. 😉
Ocean Blue Craft Metal (ooooooooh!) is 3-3/4″ x 4″ and is embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.
An Embossing Buddy was passed over a 2-7/8″ x 3-3/8″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock. SU!’s Happy Hanukkah Stamp was stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with Sterling Silver Embossing Powder. The little flames were colored in with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker.
The Menora was mounted onto a 3″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.
A Whisper White Satin Ribbon was secured behind the project using Glue Dots. The Double Bow was added using Glue Dots as well. You can see a simple Technique showing How To Tie A Double Bow Using Your Fingers HERE.

Celebrate Card with Craft Metal and Neat and Tangled

Today is Day 4 of the Add a Little Dazzle and Neat & Tangled Blog Hop! Neat and Tangled Celebrate Card Flat

Whisper White Cardstock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
Whisper White Cardstock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Stamped Filmstrip from N&T Photo Booth Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed to size.
Stamped “Cheers,” and “Happy Everything” in Real Red Ink in the squares of the Filmstrip.
Used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to ink the Martini Glass outline. Stamped in one of the squares of the Filmstrip. Colored in the center with Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.
Layered onto a strip of Scarlet Red Craft Metal and then layered that onto a strip of Black Diamond Craft Metal. Adhered to card front and trimmed ends to fit.

Celebrate Card with Neat and Tangled and Craft Metal

The word “Celebrate” was stamped onto the postcard in Real Red Ink.
N&T Black Sequins were adhered randomly on the card front using Glue Dots.
A small Rhinestone Basic Jewel was used to embellish one of the sequins on the bottom of the card.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the postcard sized card to the folded card.
