Grateful Card with Leaves and Craft Metal

I love that the weather is moving toward the fall! I love, love, love the fall! I’m going to try not to put leaves on everything until winter but I’m not making any promises. LOL! This card uses a couple of different techniques – Embossed Craft Metal, Alcohol Ink Background, and Distress Ink Background.

Ranger Alcohol Inks were used on Glossy card stock to create the background.

Dark Chocolate Craft Metal was passed through the Big Shot in SU!’s Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

A background was created using Distress Inks. The leaves were created by using leaf die cuts to cut out the leaves from the background. They’re attached to the card using Glue Dots.

The background stamp from SU! For All Things Stamp Set was stamped in Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink onto Glossy card stock. “Grateful for you” was stamped over it in Early Espresso Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool. It was popped up onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Animal Print Double Glitter and Craft Metal Card

I love Animal Prints, I love Glitter and I love Craft Metal! Today’s card combines all three of those along with my favorite Double Bow! I used to admire them on other people’s cards but could never tie them properly. Then, someone showed me how to tie a double bow using my fingers and now…I put them on everything! (You can see that video HERE.) The Technique used on this card is called the “Double Glitter Technique” – (even though I used 3 different glitters on this one). Animal Print Double Glitter and Craft Metal Card

The base card is SU! Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
The Craft Metal Sheet was cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and then adhered to a Sticker Sheet.

Sticker Sheet

The Sticker Sheet Backing was peeled off. IMPORTANT: Dina Wakely’s “Paint Lids” Stencil was covered with Versamark Ink prior to laying it onto the Sticker Sheet. The Sticker Sheet is very sticky. This step is necessary so that you can remove the stencil later. **If you are using a Metal Stencil, cover the stencil with Hawaiian Soap prior to adhering the stencil to the Sticker Sheet.

The Stencil was put on the sticky side of the Craft Metal.

Scattered Straw Distress Glitter was sprinkled onto the stencil and pressed into the spaces in the stencil.

First Glitter

Vintage Photo Distress Glitter was sprinkled over the remainder of the stencil.
The Stencil was carefully removed.

Two Glitters

Chunky Black Glitter was poured over the remainder of the Sticker Sheet.

Third Glitter

The Craft Metal Sheet was adhered to the base card with Score-Tape.
A small slit was made at the top of the card to fit the 7/8″ Chocolate Organdy Ribbon through. It was adhered to the card front using Glue Dots.
A Double Bow was tied with the same ribbon (See Video HERE)

Animal Print Double Glitter and Craft Metal Card

“Feel Better” from Sassy Salutations was stamped in Versamark Ink onto Brushed Bronze Craft Metal and embossed with Black Soot Distress Embossing Powder.
It was cut out using a Banner Framelit and adhered to the card front using Foam Tape.
A 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock was adhered to the inside of the card.

Glimmer and Shimmer Wedding Card

I have been attempting to clean out my Craft Room. Yikes! It is a monumental job! I have been Paper Crafting for over 15 years and have accumulated tons of “stuff!” I came across this black swirly beauty and remember looking at it several times but wanting to save it for something special. So many years have gone by! So…today was the day.

Glimmer and Shimmer Wedding Card

The base card is SU! Shimmer paper cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored and folded at 4-1/4″
The next layer is AALD Black Craft Metal. (Nothing else was quite up to the standard of the BLING-A-LICIOUSNESS of that paper!) It is 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
The top layer is Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Oh, Yum! This stuff is just Wow! It is cut 5″ x 3-3/4″.
The black swirly “thingie” is self-adhesive. It was like fighting with a scorpion to get it on the paper! (I ended up having to cut the whole thing apart and improvise.)
The “flowers” are from the dollar bin and they’re self-adhesive as well.
The word “Celebrate” is from SU!’s And Many More Stamp Set. It is stamped in Versamark Ink onto White Cardstock and embossed with a mix of Black Embossing Powder and Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder. It was cut out using the Bitty Banner Framelits and the Big Shot.
I used a scrap of Wendy Vecchi’s Black Art Parts to cut another Bitty Banner. I attached it to the “celebrate” banner and heated it and then shaped it. This stuff is fabulous! Once you shape it, it stays like that – even if it gets squished in the mail! It is attached to the card with Glue Dots.
Tiny Rhinestones accent the greeting.

Lattice Weave Craft Metal Card

I use metal a lot! I really love it! What I don’t often do is use bright colored metals. So, today, I took out my left-over strips and weaved them together. Click here to subscribe to my mailing list for exclusive samples.

Lattice Weave Craft Metal Card

Base card is SU! Whisper White Cardstock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
The strips are Pucker Me Pink Craft Metal and Orange Craft Metal cut 1/2″ x 5″.
They are adhered to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ that is trimmed down to make the metal even.
A White Satin Ribbon is adhered to the card front and secured behind. A Double Bow (See Video HERE to learn how to tie a double bow using your fingers.) is secured to the ribbon with Glue Dots.
“hello” is a Steel Ruled Die from Wplus9. It was used to cut the word 3 times. Each layer was adhered to the next using Liquid Glue. It is attached to the card front using Liquid Glue.
The Craft Metal layer is adhered to the card front using Foam Tape.
A Rhinestone Basic Jewel was used to embellish the corner of the card front.

Thanks Teacher Card

The Dazzling Diva Challenge this week is Back to School. This had to be the fastest summer ever! My children are grown now but there were some incredible teachers in their lives. I always tried to let them know I appreciated their efforts. My sister is an extraordinary teacher and she talks about her students all the time! She adores them – (and they’re High School age). When they text her or write her notes telling her how much of a difference she makes in their lives, she feels so rewarded! If you’d like to Thank a Teacher, it’s extra special to hand make a card for them!

The Dark Chocolate Craft Metal does all the heavy lifting in this card. It is matte finish and looks black when paired with Black Cardstock but looks dark brown when paired with Brown Cardstock.

Base card is Basic Black Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
The next layer is 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ of Whisper White Cardstock.
The 4″ x 5-1/4″ Real Red Cardstock was passed through the Big Shot in the Arrows Embossing Folder.
A piece of Dark Chocolate Craft Metal was cut to 4″ x 3″ and layered onto a piece of 4-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ Whisper White Cardstock.
The word “Thanks” was cut from a Wondrous White Craft Metal Sheet using the Lawn Fawn Thanks Die and the Big Shot.
Stickers and Candy Dot Brads were used to embellish the finished card. The apple was covered with Crystal Effects for a little somethin’ extra!

Live Each Day Craft Metal Card

Yesterday, we had some fun with bright colors and Graffiti Stamping for the Add A Little Dazzle and Altenew Blog Hop. (See that post HERE). Today, I thought it would be fun to see the same stamp used in an Elegant Way. The Dark Chocolate Craft Metal is my absolute favorite. It looks almost black and has a matte finish. Live Each Day Craft Metal Card

The Card Base is SU! Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 11″ – Scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
Dark Chocolate Craft Metal Sheet – 5-3/8″ x 5-3/8″ passed through the Big Shot with the Crusade Background Stencil using the No More Shims Pad.
A 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Brushed Bronze Craft Metal was embossed using the Damask Background Stencil and the No More Shims Pad.
A piece of Black Satin Ribbon was tied around the metal and secured in the back using Glue Dots.
A Double Bow Was Tied using the Black Satin Ribbon (See How To Tie a Double Bow Using Your Fingers Video HERE.) Attach to the Ribbon using Glue Dots.
The “Live Every Day” Sentiment from the Altenew Thoughts and Reminders Stamp Set was stamped in SU! Early Espresso Ink onto a 1-7/8″ x 2-3/8″ piece of SU! Very Vanilla Cardstock and embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.
The sentiment was layered onto a 2-1/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Brushed Bronze Craft Metal embossed with the Damask Background Stencil.
That piece was layered onto a 2-3/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Dark Chocolate Craft Metal that was embossed with the Crusade Background Stencil. It was adhered to the card using Score-Tape.
The darkest SU! Crumbcake Blendabilities Marker was used to color a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Believe Snowflake and Craft Metal Card

The Altenew Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set has so many great sayings! I did a Graffiti Card and Art Journal Page but some of the words are perfect all by themselves! “Believe” is one of my favorite holiday concepts so I used it to create this Snowflake Card using an Ocean Blue Craft Metal Sheet.

The base card is Shimmer White Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
The Ocean Blue Craft Metal Sheet was cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered to the card stock with Score-Tape.
SU! Snowflake Framelits were used to cut the White Shimmer Paper and Ocean Blue Craft Metal. They were layered on top of each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Snowflake Charm was adhered to the center of the Snowflake using Glue Dots.

An Embossing Buddy was rubbed over the bottom right corner of the Ocean Blue Craft Metal.
“Believe” was stamped in White Craft Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Graffiti Card:

Water based Markers – SU! Lost Lagoon and Melon Mambo – were used to color the words in various stamps from the Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set and stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock.
The White Cardstock was layered on a Lost Lagoon Card 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

AALD Craft Metal Sheets and Framelits were used to create Sequins which were them applied to the card using Glue Dots.

Tags were created using TH Tag Framelits to cut the Tags.
They were then embossed using TH Latticework Texture Fade, a No More Shims Pad and the Big Shot.

A piece of Baby Blue Metal Sheet was cut using the TH Tag Framelits and embossed.
“Be Yourself…” was stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
It was then cut and attached to the Tag.
The Framelits were used to cut a Reinforcer from a Pucker Me Pink Craft Metal Sheet.
Crinkle Ribbon was dyed using Distress Stains and attached to the Tag.
The Pucker Me Pink Tag was created in the same way.

The Art Journal Pages were created by attaching TH Tissue Tape to the pages.
Various Stamps from the Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set were stamped onto the pages.
Pearlescent Embossing Paste was applied through the TH Lattice Stencil onto the pages and allowed to dry.
Craft Metal Sheet Sequins were attached to the pages using Glue Dots.

The Pucker Me Pink Tag was attached to the Page using Foam Tape.

Distressed Good Fortune Card and Blog Hop

Add a Little Dazzle/Lawn Fawn Blog Hop

(Day 3) and Challenge #37

It’s time for Day 3 of the Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop and Dazzling Diva Challenge #37! Both design teams have joined forces to bring you a week of stamp and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet inspiration. Get ready for an amazing week of projects! You can see my first 2 cards HERE.

The base card is SU! Real Red Cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
The next layer is Basic Black Cardstock 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″

TH Distress Stains – Barn Door, Black Soot and Pumice Stone – were used to create the background. Dab them onto a Craft Sheet, spritz them with water and swipe a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock through them and heat set.

Apply Distress Inks in Barn Door, Pumice Stone and Black Soot to the Distressed Background using a Blending Tool.

Stamp the Fortune Cookie onto a Precious Pearl Metal Sheet and the Greeting from the Lawn Fawn Good Fortune Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock.
The Take Out Container was stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock in Black Memento Ink and cut out.

Cut the pieces you stamped using the Good Fortune Matching Framelits.

Use the Lawn Fawn “Thanks” Framelit to cut out 2 words in Basic Black Cardstock and 1 using a Black Diamond Craft Metal Sheet.

Stack the words and adhere them on top of each other using Liquid Glue.
Stamp the Chop Sticks and color them in using a Basic Black Marker.

Adhere the pieces to the card front using Foam Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card.

Dream Leaves Card with Craft Metal

It’s time for Day One of the Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop! Both design teams have joined forces to bring you a week of Stamp and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet inspiration. Get ready for an amazing week of projects!

Brown Core-dinations Card Stock was passed through the Big Shot using a SU! Woodgrain Embossing Folder. It was then sanded and attached to an Early Espresso Card that is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

With the card open, an oval was cut in through the card front using an Oval Framelit Die.

I stamped the Leaves from the Lawn Fawn Dream Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink onto Add A Little Dazzle Craft Sheets – Precious Pearl, Brushed Bronzed and Aged Copper. I used the matching Lawn Fawn Dream Framelit Dies to cut out the leaves and attached them to the card front using Foam Tape. The word “Dream” was stamped in SU! Early Espresso Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Distress Mini Ink Pads (Do you love ’em, or what!) – Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey – were stamped onto a stamp (but it completely lost the detail so I suggest that you just stamp the mini ink pads directly onto a clear block.) The block was then spritzed with Water and turned over onto Watercolor Cardstock. The card stock was then dried with a Heat Tool. Once dry, the Lawn Fawn Dream Stamp Leaves were stamped on top of the watercolors using Black Archival Ink. Next, I took a strip of delicious Polished Purple Craft Metal Sheet and ran it through the Big Shot in a Chevron Embossing Folder. I attached it to the card front with Scor-Tape. The leaves were brushed with a Clear Zig Stella Glitter Marker. The word “Dream” was stamped in SU! Eggplant Envy Ink.

Holiday Photo Ornament with Craft Metal

Card Making comes easily to me – Creating 3D items…not so much! This week’s Challenge at Add A Little Dazzle was to create an Ornament using Dark Chocolate Craft Metal and Brushed Bronze Craft Metal. I LOVE both of those colors. In fact, they’re my faves! But…I couldn’t find my mojo! Finally, I found these photos from a family trip to Italy a few years ago and knew I needed to fit all of them on an Ornament. Hope you like it. 🙂

I used SU!’s Circle Collection Framelits to cut 12 Circles in 3 graduating sizes – 3 Dark Chocolate Craft Metal, 3 Brushed Bronze Metal, 3 Cardboard, and 6 from a Sticker Sheet.

I used 3 different Embossing Folders on the metal circles – SU! Stylish Stripes, Beautifully Baroque and Triangles.

I adhered the Sticker Sheets to one side of the cardboard circles and ran a ribbon down the center of them.

I then adhered the Craft Metal Circles on top of the Sticker Sheets alternating colors. To create the “loop” for the top, just fold down a piece of the ribbon and trapped it between the metal and cardboard. The bottom loop was created in the same way.

The photographs were cut with the Circle Collection Framelits using smaller circles than the ornament circles and then they were adhered to the metal using Sticky Strip or Score Tape.

Bows were adhered to the tops of both sides of the ornaments using Glue Dots. (The Ornament is double-sided.

Small leaves were cut from both Dark Chocolate Craft Metal and Brushed Bronze Craft Metal using Framelits. They were adhered randomly to all of the ornaments.

A small bauble was attached to the bottom of the ribbon loop.
