Happy Watercolor Card with Craft Metal

I’ve been a little Watercolor Crazy lately.  It’s such an easy but fabulous technique!  Definitely play with your inks and papers.  You’ll be amazed at the different looks you can achieve!

The word “happy” was die cut from White Craft Metal.  I love the look.  It just pops on the card. The edges were embossed and cut from metal as well.  I love the sequins.  Bling just makes me happy. 🙂

Zebra Congratulations Card

I love animal prints.  I just do.  My house is decorated with them.  My closet is filled with them.  Now, my card is sporting one.   The new Stampin’ Up! It’s Wild Zebra Background Stamp just rocks!  I love the wow of black and fuscia together.

Zebra Congratulations Card

  • SU! Basic Black Card Stock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
  • Ink the It’s Wild Background Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock.
  • Adhere Zebra piece to a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Melon Mambo Card Stock.
  • Wrap a piece of Whisper White Satin Ribbon around the post card and adhere behind using Glue Dots.  Attach to card front with Tear and Tape Adhesive.
  • Tie a Double Bow using the “How to tie a double bow using your fingers” technique (See VIDEO HERE) and attach to the ribbon with Glue Dots.

Zebra Congratulations Card Flat

  • Stamp “Congrats to you” from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set in Melon Mambo Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
  • Use a Banner Framelit to cut out the sentiment and attach to a larger banner cut piece of Melon Mambo Card Stock.
  • Attach banner to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Embellish card front with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • Finish inside of card with 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock.

Simple and Sweet Wedding Card

Sometimes Less is More – especially when you are trying to create a bunch of cards at one time. This card is a simple and sweet wedding card that you could “mass produce” without much effort.

Simple and Sweet Wedding Card

  • Cut Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ – Score at 4-1/4″ – to create the card base.
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock.
  • Adhere a 2″ piece of Silver Foil Cardstock to the Whisper White Cardstock.
  • Adhere a 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Silver Fancy Foil Vellum over the Whisper White Cardstock by applying Glue Dots under the hearts.
  • Adhere a piece of White Organza Ribbon across the front of the post card so that the satin strip covers the seam where the cardstocks meet.  Adhere the post card to the Basic Black card base.
  • Tie a Double Bow (See “How To” VIDEO HERE) from Whisper White Satin Ribbon or the White Organza Ribbon and attach it to the front of the card.
  • Stamp a sentiment from the Big News Stamp Set in Versamark Ink onto White Shimmer Cardstock and emboss with Silver Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
  • Use a Chalk Talk Framelit to cut the words out.
  • Cut out another piece using the same framelit in Basic Black Cardstock.  Cut it in half and reposition it behind the greeting.  Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
  • Adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card.

Coffee Card for those who Love Coffee

It’s no secret that I love coffee!  I know I’m not alone!  In fact, there’s an entire Bloghop dedicated to Coffee Lovers!  If you’re visiting from the Coffee Lover’s Bloghop, WELCOME!  You might know that I’m a double sponsor of the hop.  One Winner will receive a Goodie Basket from my Stampin’ Up! Summer Coffee Lovers BloghopAs I was getting ready to download my photos, I started looking around my kitchen and realized there are SO many “Coffee” Accessories so I took a few pics to share.  This is the corner cabinet in my kitchen.  A lovely woman designed the corner cabinet and created it with Stained Glass.  I love, love, love it!  On top of my cabinets, all around my kitchen, I have various coffee related boxes, plates, cups, candles, etc.

It’s crazy!  I bounce from clean and simple to grunge almost daily.  In fact, I did both for today but I thought I’d start out with a Clean and Simple Card using my new Technique Tuesday Stamp and My Boyfriend, Tim’s coffee embossing folder.  I struggled to keep it simple and I think it definitely qualifies as a CAS Card!

Take a Coffee Break

  • Cut a piece of Chocolate Chip Card Stock to 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score and fold at 5 1/2″.
  • Emboss a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of SU! Whisper White Card Stock using TH’s On The Go Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.
  • Wrap a piece of Whisper White Seam Binding around the white card stock and secure it behind with Glue Dots.
  • Tie a Double Bow (See a VIDEO HERE on How To Tie a Double Bow Using Your Fingers).

Take a Coffee Break Card flat

  • Adhere the bow to the ribbon using Glue Dots.
  • Stamp “Take A” from Technique Tuesday’s Coffee Break Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip Ink and cut using SU!’s Bitty Banner Framelits.  Trim the left edge.
  • Use a scrap from TH’s Stencil cardboard piece to cut out another banner and adhere the words to the banner.  Attach to card front.

Take a Coffee Break Card

  • Stamp the “Coffee Break” Stamp onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock using Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Color the Coffee Cup and smoke.
  • Punch out using a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.
  • Use a Circle Framelit to cut out a scrap from TH’s Stencil Cardboard piece and layer behind the coffee break circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere to the card from with more Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Emboss a coffee bean from the stamp set in Chocolate Chip Ink.  Cut out and attach to card front using another foam dimensional.

Just Because Monochromatic Card with Paper Flowers

Did you miss me?  Yikes!  I’ve had some weird Vertigo-like flu this whole week!  It’s crazy when even the most mundane tasks are difficult.  It was unnerving, to say the least but I’m kinda back and very happy to be creating again.  Thanks for hanging in there with me. 🙂

Just Because Monochromatic_Card

Today’s project is a Monochromatic Card with Paper Flowers.  I love, love, love Monochromatic Cards.  They’re so soothing and simple.  I also love Designer Series/Patterned Paper because it takes all of the work out of Crafting.  A little bling and a few Paper Flowers take the card right up to the next level.  I’ve listed instructions for the Paper Flowers but, if you’re a Visual Learner, you can see a Video HERE.

Just Because Monochromatic Card_Side

  • Attach a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the base card.
  • Layer a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper onto the White Cardstock.
  • Choose 2 more coordinating patterns of the Something Borrowed DSP and cut the first one to 2″ x 3″ and layer onto a 2-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ Whisper White Cardstock.  Cut the other to 2″ x 2″ and layer onto a 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Adhere both to the card front.

Just Because Monochromatic Card-Flat View

  • Cut SU! Crumb Cake Cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″.
  • Cut a piece of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper to 1-1/4″ x 4″.  Put it in the Paper Trimmer and cut from 1/2″ down to the opposite corner.  Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp “Just Because” from SU!’s A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink onto the DSP and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Just Because Monochromatic Card_Sideview

  • Use the Pansy Punch to punch out 3 Whisper White flowers.  Use a Bone Folder to “work” the papers to break down the fibers.  You will see the paper begin to separate.  Gently pull them apart and stack 6 of the flowers on top of each other, pierce a hole in the center with a Paper Piercing Tool and insert a 1/8″ Silver Mini Brad to hold them together.  Scrunch each layer of the flower toward the center and then manipulate into the desired shape.  Attach to the card front with Glue Dots.
  • Use the Petite Petals Punch to punch out 4 Whisper White Flowers.  Repeat the above process layering only 4 flowers to create 2 small flowers and attach to card front.
  • Brush the edges of the flowers with a b and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
  • Use an Alcohol Marker to color Rhinestone Basic Jewels and attach to the card front.

Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Card

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!  I already received Irish Soda Bread from my friend Carol – and it was her best ever!  Tomorrow, I will be bringing Green Biscotti to the nurses who take care of my friend.  I hope you enjoy your day!  This is a simple Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Card you can create for just about anyone!

Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card

  • Cut SU! Garden Green Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score and fold at 4-1/4″.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss using the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.
  • Cut a piece of Garden Green Cardstock 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss using the ZigZag Embossing Folder and attach to the White post card.

Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card Flat

  • Attach a piece of Gold Satin Ribbon across the seam of the card stocks and secure behind with Glue Dots.  Attach a Gold Satin knotted bow to the Ribbon with Glue Dots.
  • Stamp “Lucky” in Garden Green Ink onto 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of  Whisper White Cardstock and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
  • Attach to a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Garden Green Cardstock and layer onto a 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  Adhere to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card Side

  • Embellish the center of the Shamrock with a small Rhinestone.
  • Add 3 Rhinestones to the lower right side of the card front.
  • Attach a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card.

It’s Your Birthday Card with Birthday Bash and Bermuda Bay

Happy Monday, Everyone!  I know Monday gets a bad rap, but I love it!  It’s my busiest day of the week and I get SO much done, that I actually like it!  So, I hope this Masculine Birthday Card brightens your morning a little bit.

It's Your Birthday Bermuda Bay Card

  • Base Card is SU! Bermuda Bay Card Stock cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
  • Layer a  4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Chevron Patterned Paper from SU!’s Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Pack over the base card.
  • Cut a diagonal strip of Bermuda Bay Card Stock and adhere to the Patterned Paper.
  • Layer a 3″ x 3″ piece of Silver Foil Paper onto a 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock.
  • Stamp “It’s Your Birthday” from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
  • Cut around the perimeter of the greeting and layer onto a piece of Basic Black Card Stock and cut around the image to create a small border.  Adhere to the Foil Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It's Your Birthday Card Flat

  • Emboss a 1 3/4″ Circle of Bermuda Bay Card Stock with the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.
  • Tie a piece of 1/8″ Bermuda Bay Ribbon through the holes in a Silver Button and layer onto the Circle.  Adhere to the corner of the Foil Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere Bermuda Bay Sequins randomly to the card front with Glue Dots.
  • Finish the inside of the card with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock.

Valentine Card with Scarlet Red Craft Metal

Another month is flying by!  Depending on where you are, you may be in the snow storm of the century. :-O   I hope you have power and internet and something yummy to eat!  Crazy!  I think you should just go create something!  For today’s Dazzling Diva Challenge, I decided to go Clean and Simple – for a change.  LOL  The challenge was to create a 3D flower from Craft Metal.  Pretty simple.  Give it a whirl! (Details Below)

Valentine Card with a Scarlet Craft Metal Flower

  • White Card Stock 4-1/4″ x 11″ – Scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
  • White Card Stock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ run through the Big Shot in SU’s Lovely Hearts Embossing Folder.
  • Wrap a piece of 1/8″ Silver Ribbon around the bottom of the post card and secure behind using Glue Dots.
  • Use Foam Tape or Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the post card to the base card.
  • Use “xoxo” from the Circle Card Thinlits Die Set to cut a piece of AALD Scarlet Red Craft Metal.  (Tip:  Put a piece of wax paper between the die and the metal before passing it through the Big Shot.  This will make removal a cinch!)

  • Use SU’s Blossom Punch to punch out two flowers from AALD Scarlet Red Craft Metal.
  • Use SU’s Pansy Punch to punch out two flowers from AALD Scarlet Red Craft Metal.
  • Emboss all of the flowers using a Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
  • Roll the edges of the flowers on a stick – or something of equal thickness – and shape so that the petals pop up.
  • Use Glue Dots to assemble one flower on top of the other , offsetting the petals.
  • Glue one of TH’s Idea-Ology Gumballs to the center of the flower and adhere to the card front using Glue Dots.
  • Use Liquid Glue to attach the Metal “xoxo” to the front of the card.
