Vintage Monochromatic Card

Vintage is my favorite type of Card Making. Rarely can I do simple and Monochromatic. This Patterned Paper really did all the work for me! The delicious ribbon was a fun find from a trip to a far-away Stamp Store – yummmm!

The layers are attached directly to each other with the sentiment circle popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Vintage Monochromatic Card Flat

The base card is SU! Chocolate Chip Cardstock.
The layers were created using scraps of the Cartographer’s Collection of Patterned Paper.
I attached the paper to coordinating card stock and trimmed it so there was a small border.
The sentiment is from a Wendy Vecchi Stamp Set (Spent the weekend in her classes – OMG!) It was stamped in SU! Chocolate Chip Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
The sentiment was cut with a Circle Collection Framelit. The Chocolate Chip circle was cut with a 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and then embossed with the Argyle Embossing Folder in the Big Shot.
The button has a piece of Crochet Trim tied and attached with a Glue Dot.
The top layer of the card was attached to the base card with Foam Tape.

Clean and Simple Monochromatic Thank You Card with Circles

Today is the last of the 3 cards I created using the Big Thanks Stamp Set. I hope you enjoyed them! This card is a Monochromatic Card using heat embossing and embellishments to create a Clean and Simple Monochromatic Thank You Card.

CAS-ual Friday Turquiose Spots

The base card is Tempting Turquoise Cardstock (SU!) cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
A piece of Whisper White Cardstock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ was used for the top layer. The circle stamp from the Big Thanks Stamp Set (CAS-ual Fridays) was stamped onto the card stock using Versamark Ink and embossed with Turquoise Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
The “Thanks” stamp was stamped onto the card front (twice) using Tempting Turquoise Ink.
A 1/2″ Circle Punch was used to punch out several circles using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. They were adhered in some of the stamped circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Spritzer Tool was used with a Tempting Turquoise Marker to spritz the front of the card.
The entire card was spritzed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels).
Sequins (Avery Elle) were applied to the card front with Glassy Glaze.

CAS-ual Fridays’ Big Thanks Distressed Card

Same CAS-ual Fridays’ Big Thanks Stamp Set as yesterday’s post – but this time I created a Distressed Background. I love using the same stamp set in different styles. (You can see the first sample HERE.) Click here to subscribe to my mailing list for exclusive samples.

Basic Black Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″ – Scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
TH Distress Stains – Barn Door, Broken China and Wild Honey – were added to a Craft Sheet. A piece of Manila Cardstock was swiped through the Distress Stains. Distress Inks in the same colors were blended on top of the Distress Stains.
The “Spritz and Flick” Technique was used to flick water onto the card stock to create the water stains. They were then Heat Set.
The long stamp from the Big Thanks Stamp Set was stamped onto the card stock using Black Archival Ink.
A 2″ x 3″ Tag was created in the same way. The top of the tag was punched with the Tag Topper Punch (SU!).
“Little Card…Big Thanks” was stamped onto the tag in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.
Black Soot Distress Ink was sponged around the edges of both the card and the tag.
A piece of Crinkle Ribbon was dyed using the same color Distress Inks and tied to the top of the tag.
The tag was attached to the front of the card with Foam Tape.
Whisper White Craft Ink was sponged through the TH Splatters Stencil to create a splattered effect.
TH Stars were used to embellish the card.
A 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of White Card Stock was attached to the inside of the card.

This was so fun that I think I’ll have a third option for you tomorrow! 😉

Thank You Card with Word Background

I was playing with my CAS-ual Friday Big Thanks Stamp Set today. I did a couple of cards in different styles – just because I could! LOL! This card uses various stamps which were assembled onto a Clear Block and repeatedly stamped onto card stock to create a word background. Check back tomorrow for a thank you card with a totally different look!

CAS-ual Friday Big Thanks Card

The base card is Basic Black Cardstock (SU!) 4-1/4″ x 11″ – scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
Various “thank you” stamps from Big Thanks were assembled onto a clear block and then stamped in Black Archival Ink onto a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock – alternating the pattern.
The White Cardstock was attached to a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Real Red Cardstock.
A piece of Real Red Cotton Ribbon was wrapped around the White Cardstock and secured with Glue Dots. A smaller piece was tied around the ribbon.
“Little Card…Big Thanks” was stamped in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and embossed using Black Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
Word Window Framelits were used to cut out the greeting.
Word Window Framelits were used to cut out Real Red and Basic Black Cardstocks. They were both embossed using a Triangle Embossing Folder.
The Red Word Window piece was cut diagonally and reassembled behind the greeting to frame it. It was then layered onto the Black piece. It was attached to the center of the card using Foam Tape.
Rhinestone Jewels were used to embellish the finished card – 3 horizontally on the bottom and 3 vertically on the top. Smaller Rhinestones accent the greeting.

Life is Art Inks and Alcohol Card

This card uses Alcohol and Reinkers to create this Wendy Vecchi inspired background.

Gold Satin Ribbon was used to tie a Double Bow. (See how to tie a double bow using your fingers HERE.)

The Butterflies were stamped and cut using Tim Holtz’s French Flight Framelits and Dies. The Sentiment is Wendy Vecchi’s and was stamped in Tree Branch Ink.

Tattered Angels Guilded Gold Glimmer Mist was spritzed on the entire card.

Live Each Day Craft Metal Card

Yesterday, we had some fun with bright colors and Graffiti Stamping for the Add A Little Dazzle and Altenew Blog Hop. (See that post HERE). Today, I thought it would be fun to see the same stamp used in an Elegant Way. The Dark Chocolate Craft Metal is my absolute favorite. It looks almost black and has a matte finish. Live Each Day Craft Metal Card

The Card Base is SU! Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 11″ – Scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
Dark Chocolate Craft Metal Sheet – 5-3/8″ x 5-3/8″ passed through the Big Shot with the Crusade Background Stencil using the No More Shims Pad.
A 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Brushed Bronze Craft Metal was embossed using the Damask Background Stencil and the No More Shims Pad.
A piece of Black Satin Ribbon was tied around the metal and secured in the back using Glue Dots.
A Double Bow Was Tied using the Black Satin Ribbon (See How To Tie a Double Bow Using Your Fingers Video HERE.) Attach to the Ribbon using Glue Dots.
The “Live Every Day” Sentiment from the Altenew Thoughts and Reminders Stamp Set was stamped in SU! Early Espresso Ink onto a 1-7/8″ x 2-3/8″ piece of SU! Very Vanilla Cardstock and embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.
The sentiment was layered onto a 2-1/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Brushed Bronze Craft Metal embossed with the Damask Background Stencil.
That piece was layered onto a 2-3/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Dark Chocolate Craft Metal that was embossed with the Crusade Background Stencil. It was adhered to the card using Score-Tape.
The darkest SU! Crumbcake Blendabilities Marker was used to color a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Believe Snowflake and Craft Metal Card

The Altenew Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set has so many great sayings! I did a Graffiti Card and Art Journal Page but some of the words are perfect all by themselves! “Believe” is one of my favorite holiday concepts so I used it to create this Snowflake Card using an Ocean Blue Craft Metal Sheet.

The base card is Shimmer White Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
The Ocean Blue Craft Metal Sheet was cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered to the card stock with Score-Tape.
SU! Snowflake Framelits were used to cut the White Shimmer Paper and Ocean Blue Craft Metal. They were layered on top of each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Snowflake Charm was adhered to the center of the Snowflake using Glue Dots.

An Embossing Buddy was rubbed over the bottom right corner of the Ocean Blue Craft Metal.
“Believe” was stamped in White Craft Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Graffiti Card:

Water based Markers – SU! Lost Lagoon and Melon Mambo – were used to color the words in various stamps from the Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set and stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock.
The White Cardstock was layered on a Lost Lagoon Card 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – Scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

AALD Craft Metal Sheets and Framelits were used to create Sequins which were them applied to the card using Glue Dots.

Tags were created using TH Tag Framelits to cut the Tags.
They were then embossed using TH Latticework Texture Fade, a No More Shims Pad and the Big Shot.

A piece of Baby Blue Metal Sheet was cut using the TH Tag Framelits and embossed.
“Be Yourself…” was stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
It was then cut and attached to the Tag.
The Framelits were used to cut a Reinforcer from a Pucker Me Pink Craft Metal Sheet.
Crinkle Ribbon was dyed using Distress Stains and attached to the Tag.
The Pucker Me Pink Tag was created in the same way.

The Art Journal Pages were created by attaching TH Tissue Tape to the pages.
Various Stamps from the Thoughts & Reminders Stamp Set were stamped onto the pages.
Pearlescent Embossing Paste was applied through the TH Lattice Stencil onto the pages and allowed to dry.
Craft Metal Sheet Sequins were attached to the pages using Glue Dots.

The Pucker Me Pink Tag was attached to the Page using Foam Tape.

Sunshine and Flowers Card

This card is not what you’d expect from Sunshine and Flowers but it worked. 😉 I love Monochromatic Cards. There’s a simplicity about them and they just seem to come together on their own.

Basic Black Cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Chevron Ribbon, Crochet Trim, Paper Flowers, Versamark Ink, Black Embossing Powder.

Pre-made Paper Flowers were used for this card but your own would work just as well.

The Ribbons and Flowers provide lots of texture and dimension.

Distressed Good Fortune Card and Blog Hop

Add a Little Dazzle/Lawn Fawn Blog Hop

(Day 3) and Challenge #37

It’s time for Day 3 of the Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop and Dazzling Diva Challenge #37! Both design teams have joined forces to bring you a week of stamp and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet inspiration. Get ready for an amazing week of projects! You can see my first 2 cards HERE.

The base card is SU! Real Red Cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
The next layer is Basic Black Cardstock 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″

TH Distress Stains – Barn Door, Black Soot and Pumice Stone – were used to create the background. Dab them onto a Craft Sheet, spritz them with water and swipe a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock through them and heat set.

Apply Distress Inks in Barn Door, Pumice Stone and Black Soot to the Distressed Background using a Blending Tool.

Stamp the Fortune Cookie onto a Precious Pearl Metal Sheet and the Greeting from the Lawn Fawn Good Fortune Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock.
The Take Out Container was stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock in Black Memento Ink and cut out.

Cut the pieces you stamped using the Good Fortune Matching Framelits.

Use the Lawn Fawn “Thanks” Framelit to cut out 2 words in Basic Black Cardstock and 1 using a Black Diamond Craft Metal Sheet.

Stack the words and adhere them on top of each other using Liquid Glue.
Stamp the Chop Sticks and color them in using a Basic Black Marker.

Adhere the pieces to the card front using Foam Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of the card.

Dream Leaves Card with Craft Metal

It’s time for Day One of the Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop! Both design teams have joined forces to bring you a week of Stamp and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet inspiration. Get ready for an amazing week of projects!

Brown Core-dinations Card Stock was passed through the Big Shot using a SU! Woodgrain Embossing Folder. It was then sanded and attached to an Early Espresso Card that is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

With the card open, an oval was cut in through the card front using an Oval Framelit Die.

I stamped the Leaves from the Lawn Fawn Dream Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink onto Add A Little Dazzle Craft Sheets – Precious Pearl, Brushed Bronzed and Aged Copper. I used the matching Lawn Fawn Dream Framelit Dies to cut out the leaves and attached them to the card front using Foam Tape. The word “Dream” was stamped in SU! Early Espresso Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Distress Mini Ink Pads (Do you love ’em, or what!) – Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey – were stamped onto a stamp (but it completely lost the detail so I suggest that you just stamp the mini ink pads directly onto a clear block.) The block was then spritzed with Water and turned over onto Watercolor Cardstock. The card stock was then dried with a Heat Tool. Once dry, the Lawn Fawn Dream Stamp Leaves were stamped on top of the watercolors using Black Archival Ink. Next, I took a strip of delicious Polished Purple Craft Metal Sheet and ran it through the Big Shot in a Chevron Embossing Folder. I attached it to the card front with Scor-Tape. The leaves were brushed with a Clear Zig Stella Glitter Marker. The word “Dream” was stamped in SU! Eggplant Envy Ink.
